Devonport

I had bought a deal to Tiritiri Matangi island before my birthday, that was a few months ago. Finally, we made the trip, but we went to Devonport. That was a long story. Anyway, it was worth to be there. That is such a lovely place. I have heard there is a night market in Devonport, not sure if it's still on.

Let's start from the beginning. I arrived at 10.20am. It only cost $11/person for a return.

There have many 2nd hand book shops. I like to be there. I wish I could buy some, but I thought the books would stay on the the highest shelf for the rest of their life, I should have stopped doing that.

Devonport's Totoro!

Who leaves the seeds,

For you to find?

Follow them and you will see,
a treasure there.

Then plant the seeds,

and help them grow!
It may seem the like a dream,
things are not what they seem.

came back from Mt Victoria, at 12.20pm.

Heading to the Navy Museum and Mt Cambia

When I was passing by a fence, I saw a piece of fur was chucked underneath.

I was curious, then I walked closer. Somewhere on the fur looked like a pointed ear.

Then I walked more closer. Ah! No wonder there was a pointed ear, there was also a nose. It was a dog! What a good place for a nap, quiet and cool. Never had a chance to be bothered by the owner.

Up to North Head Historic Reserve. About 20mins walk from the information center.

Mountains at Devonport are easier to climb, they are not high and you are able to enjoy the beautiful scenery while climbing. I like Mt Rangitoto too, expecially the spectacular 360 view, but the height was killing me.

a look out

2.15pm. It's time to go back.
